Most AI tool founders talk about democratizing their industry. Jan Elias Hammer, 23, actually did the industry first — VFX shots on Stranger Things, Star Trek, and client work for Accenture Song and Mackevision — before sitting down to build the tool that would make it unnecessary for the next generation to learn the hard way. He founded 3D AI Studio in Heilbronn, Germany in 2024, self-funded it to profitability, and in 12 months reached $1.7M ARR, 600,000 registered creators, and 1 million 3D assets generated across 15+ countries — entirely through product quality and word of mouth.

The insight that separates 3D AI Studio from single-model competitors is architectural: instead of betting on one proprietary AI engine, the platform integrates multiple best-in-class AI models — including Meshy, Tripo AI, and Rodin — giving users access to the right model for each asset type in one interface at one price. A character that needs clean topology for rigging goes to Tripo. A photorealistic product render goes to Rodin. A game environment asset goes through the platform's own engine. And at $0.008–0.014 per model on the Studio plan, the economics are 5–10x better than subscribing to each service separately. In November 2025, Tencent Cloud became a strategic infrastructure partner, enabling the platform to handle variable demand spikes without failed generations — the critical reliability issue that breaks consumer SaaS products at scale. In February 2026, 3D AI Studio launched its public API, opening the full generation pipeline to developers and enterprise pipelines. At MWC 2026 in Barcelona, the Tencent partnership was expanded into a joint co-development agreement to build the next generation of AI-powered 3D infrastructure for global demand.
